About The GSL
Our Goal
GSL is an online gaming ladder website. We aim to provide superior service and innovative features
for the online gaming community. From a streamlined challenge process to an intuitive interface,
GSL was created for practical use and common sense. GSL aims to be what gaming ladders should be.
It is our belief that quality of services and feature rich content are what draws users in.
Our Motivation
GSL is not out for the bling bling (cash money to the uninformed). In fact, GSL is literally paid
for by it's staff (one member in particular :P). We foot the bill so you don't have to. What
motivates us is something some of you may understand - we do it because we can, and the whole
process is fun. Here's a real kicker: We don't care if you don't join. We don't spend money on
advertising. We don't go out of our way to let the internet know we exist. We don't care about
competition among other gaming ladders. What we care about, is enjoying this venture and seeing
what we can come up with next. Being inventive and realistic is what we care about.
Our History
This is the "terribly abridged" version.
GSL was initially the brainchild of lush^ and Flying_Pigs. After several months of floundering
about, Sean "MrPoop" Claflin was contacted to see if he was available to craft the GSL gaming
ladders. After a few weeks of initial work, MrPoop took over the reigns of GSL and developed the
entire site, from the forums to the ladders, by hand. After a little over 2 months of development
the GSL site was functional and ready for launch.
